UN CYCLE DE CONFÉRENCES POUR DÉVELOPPER UNE CULTURE MULTIDISCIPLINAIRE

Dès la rentrée 2025-2026, le Groupe Omnes Education proposera pour la quatrième année consécutive un programme unique, destiné à l’ensemble de ses étudiants de première année (environ 2000 étudiants). Son ambition : les aider à décoder les enjeux d’un monde en mutation, les amener à élargir leurs horizons professionnels et leur permettre d’acquérir de nouvelles compétences essentielles à leur développement.

Tout au long de l’année académique, les étudiant·e·s participent à 2 cycles thématiques, résonnant avec les grandes questions qui traversent notre société. L’animation est assurée par Olivia Salazar-Winspear.

LES THÈMES ET LES INVITÉ·E·S

"HUMANITY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION OR EXISTENTIAL THREAT?"

Inaugural lecture: Suresh Venkatasubramanian, director of the Center for Technological Responsibility, Reimagination, and Redesign (CNTR) with the Data Science Institute at Brown University. He is also Professor of Computer Science and Data Science.
« AI and work »: Mark Graham, Professor of Internet Geography at Oxford University and director of Fairwork. This initiative has actively pushed companies to implement worker-friendly policies, impacting millions of jobs.
« AI and environment » : Marina Otero Verzier, architect and researcher. She is Lecturer in Architecture at Harvard GSD, where she teaches the MDes Open Project Storing Climates, and Dean’s Visiting Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP, where she leads the Data Mourning clinic on digital infrastructures and climate catastrophe.
« AI, knowledge and Culture » : Bernhard Rieder, associate Professor of New Media and Digital Culture at the University of Amsterdam and a collaborator with the Digital Methods Initiative. His research focuses on the history, theory, and politics of software and, in particular, on the role algorithms play in the production of knowledge and culture.

"HUMANITY AND IDENTITY - HUMANITY IN THE FACE OF 21ST-CENTURY CRISES: REINVENTING OR SHATTERING OUR SENSE OF IDENTITY?"

Inaugural lecture: Pankaj Mishra, essayist and novelist born in northern India. He first studied commerce at Allahabad University, then went on to complete a Master’s in English literature at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. He has since become the author of numerous books, including The World After Gaza: A History (Penguin Press).
